Our Services

At Optimal Movement, you will always receive one-on-one care with exceptional focus, attention, and detail.

Most physical therapy clinics double or triple book their clients and rotate their clients between therapists each visit… Not here! With us, you will receive 60-minutes of personalized care from the same physical therapist each visit! Our model allows us to provide a higher quality of care to the client, which means less visits and quicker results! Have you ever gone to physical therapy and noticed an initial reduction in symptoms that didn’t seem to last?  That is because traditional physical therapy clinics do not adequately load their clients.  At Optimal Movement, we are strong believers in resistance training for all ages and have the equipment, facility, and personnel to get you back into the gym, pain free! Our goal is to help you build resiliency and confidence to get back to doing what you love!

Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning Under One Roof.

This collaborative approach to physical therapy is extremely unique. We follow a patient centered care model: this involves in-house communication as well as outside coordination with physicians, school athletic trainers, sport coaches, and parents. We feel this gives our athletes the best opportunity to return to their sports in a safe and timely manner. We take pride in preparing our athletes during the critical last few months of rehabilitation before returning to competition. Typical rehab programs fall short here, as they are not equipped to challenge high level athletes and determine their readiness, however our facility allows us to bridge the gap between rehab and performance to ensure our athletes are ready for any challenge their sport throws at them.

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Taylor Summers is the owner and founder of Optimal Movement Rehabilitation and Performance. Taylor is a St. Louis native who specializes in ACL rehab and has a passion for the weightlifting/crossfit community as well as bridging the gap between rehab and performance for high school and college athletes.

She tore her ACL her junior year of high school, initially sparking the interest in becoming a physical therapist after a long and gruesome rehab process that allowed her to continue to play college soccer at Quincy University.

After playing 4 years of college soccer, Taylor went on to Washington University in St. Louis to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Taylor has extensive training in ACL return to play, video jumping and running analysis, dry needling, and ASTYM (soft tissue mobilization).

Her goal is and has always been to provide exceptional care to clients and patients while helping them achieve all of their goals. She believes in a true holistic rehab process and is passionate about providing clients with all of the education and tools necessary to move smarter, perform better, and live optimally.
